Hey lovely Lignumites! <3

I’m sure Road Run has allowed us to enjoy the fresh morning air, and uhh prepare ourselves for NAPFA. Haha moving on to the more important stuff, Lignum has achieved THIRD placing for Road Run! For all those who are clueless on how the points system works, those in the Top 20 are awarded 100 points for first, 95 for second, and so on. However a point is also awarded to those who made it within the time set for the race

So congratulations Lignum! We have achieved 3rd place because of everyone’s hard work and peseverance Thank you to all those who made it within the top 20 or within the allocated timing! The results are all your work

On Wednesday, 3 February 2010. A date to be remembered by our 17 year olds as they complete the new Lignum experience. We hope that we have given you a memorable time here in NJC.

Two years, just 2 years. That’s all the time you will spend here. I do agree that it is very hard to build any strong feelings for the school in just 2 years, not including studying for your A levels. But it can be done! Take a look at you’re OGL’s! about three quarters of them are from mainstream as well. They love NJC, and more so, they love Lignum.

Sadly, not all of you will remain in Lignum after the orientation, for you will all be sorted into your classes. Still, we wish you will love your new house just as we love lignum. on behalf of all OGLs, we wish you a fruitful and happy journey here in National Junior College.

Looks pretty good

On Friday, 15 January 2010. The last day you will spend under our goddess, Libertas. As the name goes, some of you will freely move on to other houses, whilst some of you will stay under the name of Lignum. But names don’t really matter, do they? We’ve made friends, both with each other as well as your OGLs. We’ve cheered together, we’ve screamed together, we’ve danced together, we’ve laughed together. And together, we’re all part of NJC.

To all JH1′s still in Lignum, seeing your smiles is what makes us feel that every preparation we have made, was worth it.

To all JH1′s moving on to other houses, seeing your tears and your sighs is what makes us sad that we can’t have you in our house anymore. We will always miss you.

To all JH3′s that will be moving on as well, we will always cherish the moment we’ve spent with you, the somewhat older, but just as new to this community. We wish you the best of luck.

No matter which house you are assigned to, be it Aerius Aqua Ignis Solaris Terra. Please always remember that it is your house. The place where you belong. All your OGLs hope that you would love your house as much as we love Lignum and make it a better place for whoever is to come.

And of course, we hope Lignum will always have a place in you, because you will always have a place in Lignum. <3

“After the darkest night and gloomy times, a shoot appears on the barren land. Young, small, new. Gazing upon the old wood that used to grow large and strong beside it. Now dead and seemed to crack upon the slightest of breeze. An ancient remnant of whatever the young shoot used to be. Strong, able, alive…

That didn’t bother our young shoot, as he stood there lively and happy.

Living the life, It stood there strong, Going on no matter what, Never backing down, Under the unforgiving nights, Many thought it would die.

However, the shoot is still growing, nowhere near what it would eventually be. But its alive, living the legacy of what was in the past. Because now, Lignum is back…”

I hope a lot has been learnt and lots of memories have been made.
